How come a stainless steel draining eat stinks of rotten eggs?

I had the new kitchen installed 7yrs ago. I noticed an awful smell a little while ago. On investigating I found that it was future from the draining board. It has been washed with Cif a few times a week and also at least 1 lot of dishes are drained on it every day! I can't understand how stainless steel can stink. The dishwasher is under it but I keep that undefiled and it is used once a day.Could the housing that it is in have rotted? Is it time to install a new stainless steel unit or another medium?

Block somewhere in your pipe? The web in your sink waste should stop that smell if not I would suggest some high powered sink unbl;ocker.

Its not the ss that is smelly.

Try washing it down with baking soda, rinse and use vinegar. If this dosn't work look at the framework

There is probably food residue in the cracks where the edge of the board meets the unit EDIT....my confidante is a nurse and told me that she uses COCA COLA (coke) to clean medical tubes....it provender through matter like acid....pour a generous amount into the cracks
